Graphic Communications Programs are PICA members

Each graphic communications program in secondary and post-secondary schools in North and South Carolina qualify for a free membership in The Printing Industry of the Carolinas, Inc. Some benefits of PICA membership for graphic communications programs are the following:

  • Having a member of the PICA staff serve on advisory boards
  • Free access to The Print University for the educator and all the graphic communications students — a powerful supplement to curriculum, which includes personal assessments. To learn how your students can access this, email here
  • Free entries into the Student Division of the PICA Awards. Sponsored award winning students and their programs receive the opportunity to attend the PICA Awards Banquet, scholarship for the students, and a stipend to the winning program
  • Financial support from The PICA Foundation in the way of scholarships for two- and four-year universities, support to help with field trips in the PrintForce Immersion Program, and Accommodations Grants for High School teachers to attend the PrintForce Educator Track at the PICA Fall Conference
  • PICA serves as a resource to help educators locate equipment maintenance technicians and other needs
  • PICA serves as a liaison between industry, educators, and state workforce development leaders
