Our Industry is like a herd. If everyone, or at least a meaningful number of companies do not practice using Trade Shows for prospecting new customers – such a practice must not be worthwhile. However, we have introduced such a practice to clients who have benefited significantly from this initiative. That said, if proper planning, execution – and follow-up are not practiced with the discipline of “continuous improvement,” we do not recommend such an initiative. (Note: Most companies do not know which customers are going to which Trade Shows.)
