Handling Bad News

PROGRAM: Handling Bad News

Critical moments in the life of a supplier-customer working relationship inevitably face a “defining moment.” Few organizations “train” for those moments, but most organizations – wish they had.

Changing Market Conditions:

Buyers have less experience, and therefore place more responsibility on their supplier(s), which can be a tough combination – with relatively new or inexperienced employees – in the supplier’s organization.

Company Performance Benefits Expected:

Lower turnover of customers – and lower turnover of personnel; improved morale; and elevated confidence from customers when “something is not as expected.”

Key Knowledge Areas Introduced:

New strategies for “new buyers” – when “bad news” is required to be communicated; reduced responsibilities on buyers’ supervisors; improved Teamwork and trust – throughout your organization.

Unusual Instruction Features:

Tools are developed, supported by SOP’s, that all employees learn, including new and not yet hired employees. Customer turnover is reduced. Net new accounts – are gained. Your company gains in value – and market reputation.

Fee: $350; Three partial days are devoted to review of client experiences, cost of lost business and customers, explanation and discussion of your organization’s and market’s conditions, review of options and strategies, and review of SOP’s and exhibits developed by client organization from these sessions. “Role-play Training” is practiced, filmed, and archived for future training of new employees, and retraining. (Zoom instruction has proven effective.)
